Thermal Efficiency

Thanks to a high performance CFC-free PV foam insulating core, our composite door range helps you keep the warmth in and cold and noise out.

The Elite 44mm composite doors have been tested in comparison with a 48mm solid timber core composite door and a 44mm timber panelled door.

The composite doors we supply and install are:

  • 19% more thermally efficient than the 48mm solid timber core composite door.
  • 17% more thermally efficient than the 44mm traditional timber panelled door.

Key Wind

Used with the S-Series Bar Handles, the key-wind lock has the cylinder positioned at mid-rail height.

The lock is operated from the outside with a key-wind operation and from the inside with a key-wind or thumb-turn operation

Winkhuas Av2 or Av3, Electronically controlled, AV2e or AV3e

Door Hinges

Depending on the door type, all of our doors are set up in our factory and supplied with an aluminium edge carrier setting the door evenly with a 3- 4mm clearance from the top and bottom of the frame and threshold.

Traditional butt hinge

x3 are fitted to the outer frame and slab tested to pas 24 – 2016 security with a 50KG load (tbc)

Provides the door with a 32 mm clearance from the edge of the frame to the plaster line (not adjustable)

Fab and Fix 2 D haven door hinge

x3 are fitted to the outer frame and slab tested to pas 24-2016 security with a 100KG load (tbc)

Provides the door with a 22mm clearance from the edge of the frame to the plaster line adjustable to + – 3mm left right – compression in and out

ERA Challenger

x3 are fitted to the outer frame and slab tested to pas 24- 2016 security with a 50KG load (tbc)

Provides the door with a 28mm clearance from the edge of the frame to the plaster line adjustable to + – 2mm up down left right in and out.

Winkhaus Trulock

Hallmark’s Collection of composite doors are fitted with WINKHAUS multi-point lock mechanisms. Depending on individual needs, customers can choose from the available lock options shown below.

WINKHAUS TRULOCK multi-point locking systems are fitted to all Elite Modern Collection composite doors as standard. Superbly engineered, the Trulock mechanism is approved by the Secured by Design Police initiative.

Manufactured to meet the requirements of a modern door design, the Trulock delivers enhanced performance using low friction hook thrust plates for a smooth, precise operation.

Winkhaus Heritage

The WINKHAUS HERITAGE multi-point locking system has a slam-shut operation whereby the lock keep will automatically engage once the door is closed. A key is then required to gain entry from the outside.

The key cylinder is positioned 3/4 of the way up the door – similar to traditional period doors. From the outside the lock is key operated with a chrome or gold ring pull plate and from the inside by a thumb-turn (or key if used with an internal handle to aid door opening).

BFRC

All the composite doors we supply and install have been tested for BS6375 (weather performance).

They’re part of the BFRC door energy rating scheme and all doors’ thermal performances are shown on the doors label.
